At Humdrum, we grow every mushroom ourselves—right here in Los Angeles— then gently extract its full spectrum of compounds using sound wave technology. The result? A potent, fresh concentrate that goes straight into our chews and is sweetened only with peak-season fruit from California’s most loved family farms. It’s our way of honoring nature, our community, and the rituals that sustain us.

Mycelium networks play a vital role in nature's ecosystems, intricately threading everything together to sustain life. Inspired by these interdependent connections, our approach to sustainability is reflected in every choice we make. We rely on our network to grow our mushrooms and locally source ingredients, keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible.

Our materials

Our compostable packaging is crafted with the same intention and thoughtfulness that drives our production. Just as mycelium breaks down organic matter to support new growth, our packaging is designed to return to the earth and honor nature’s cyclical, regenerative power.

Mycelium Insert
Planet-friendly protection made by combining agricultural feedstock with the natural binding strength of mycelium, the root structure of mushrooms. Fully home compostable and will return to the soil in 45 days.  

Shipping Box
Made from 100% recycled content and at least 95% post-consumer waste.

Refillable Glass Jar
Glass container and responsibly sourced wooden lid for monthly refills. Recycle or repurpose.

Pouch + Mailer
Made using renewable Plantcell technology. All components including zippers are made from plants and are fully home compostable.

We partner directly with trusted growers who share our values and understand the importance of quality from the ground up. Every fruit we use is picked at peak ripeness, just days before it’s used to sweeten our mushroom chews. These relationships mean our products aren’t just functional—they’re fresh, seasonal, and rooted in the community that raised us.

The power of sonication

Extracting only the good stuff using sound wave technology.

Mushrooms are packed with powerful health benefits, but our bodies can’t access these without breaking down the tough cell walls made of chitin. Using sound wave technology (or sonication), we extract essential compounds like beta-glucans and triterpenoids, making them readily available so your body can absorb the benefits and you can experience the full vitality of mushrooms in each gummy. Our chews begin with mushrooms grown at Fungi Valley, our farm in the heart of Los Angeles.

We believe in complete transparency. Every mushroom in our chews is grown, harvested, and extracted by us—start to finish. At Fungi Valley, our family farm in the heart of Los Angeles, we cultivate mushrooms in a 14,000 square-foot underground facility designed to maintain ideal growing conditions using the latest low-impact technology.

We proudly avoid overseas powders or fillers—just whole mushrooms, carefully grown and thoughtfully crafted. What started as a curiosity for fungi has evolved into the foundation of Humdrum’s mission: bringing together people, places, and raw ingredients to honor the power and purity of nature.
